The work of the second day continued from The scientific conference organized by the Arab society for Applied Sports Psychology and related sciences On rehab Salah al-Din University-Erbil In the Kurdistan region of Iraq, amid a wide presence of academics, researchers and specialists in the field of sports and psychology.
The program was held The first scientific session, Headed by Prof. Dr Zain al-Abidin Mohammed Bani Hani, And opened with the tagged workshop “Biomechanical and motor applications in higher mental processes (manifestations of attention)”, Presented by Prof. Dr Wadih Yassin, Where the presentation combined theoretical and applied aspects, highlighting The role of kinesthetic and biomechanical analysis in understanding the mechanisms of attention, improving concentration, accuracy of motor response in athletes.
In a related context, Assistant Professor Dr Shukhan Omar Abdul Rahman A pivotal workshop entitled "Psychological considerations in rehabilitation after sports injuries and their relevance in practice”. The workshop dealt with psychological concepts related to the post-injury stage, such as anxiety, fear of recurrence of injury, low motivation, and fluctuating self-confidence, focusing on their direct impact on the success of physical rehabilitation programs. The researcher also presented the mechanisms of psychological support, building rehabilitation commitment, integration between the medical team, the coach, and the sports psychologist to ensure a safe and effective return of the athlete to competitive activity.
The session concluded with an extensive scientific discussion in which a number of researchers participated, during which scientific opinions and applied interventions were exchanged, which contributed to Enrich the session themes and strengthen the link between psychological and motor aspects in sports performanceTo achieve the objectives of the conference in the development of scientific research and its practical applications in the field of sports psychology.
